VEX Cortex Microcontroller Support from Embedded Coder

Generate code optimized for VEX MCU.

You can use Simulink® with the VEX Cortex Microcontroller to design and simulate a robotic system. The VEX Cortex Microcontroller is required for the BEST (Boosting Engineering Science and Technology) Robotics competition. This high-school competition challenges teams to design and assemble a remotely-controlled VEX robot in six weeks.

Simulink support for the VEX Cortex Microcontroller used in BEST Robotics includes:

  • Library of Simulink blocks for programming the VEX Cortex Microcontroller to work with servomotors, DC motors, switches, potentiometers, and VEX gamepad inputs
  • Streamlined development interface and sample models
  • Modeling of robot control algorithms in Simulink and Stateflow® without the use of C/C++ programming
  • Model simulation for algorithm verification
  • Automatic code generation from the model, compilation with easyC, and download to the VEX Cortex Microcontroller
