Hi All,

  I just installed matlab 7 r14 on my linux box (Debian) with an
individual
license. When I reboot, the license
manager can't start. I followed the installation guide and did change
the
username in the "rc.lm.glnx86".
I need to run the lmstart (under &MATLAB/etc ) manually to get MATLAB
working.
I'll appreciate if someone can give me
some hints or kindly provide the solution.
Thanks a lot.

Thanks, us.

I did look at the link below but didn't
work. After I reboot, I tried "lmstat -a"
and it gave me

lmgrd is not running: cannot connect to license server (-15,570:111)
"Connection
refused")

If I restart the license manager by typing
"lmstart", matlab will work.

I followed the install guide. Is there any
way I can make license manager start automatically? Many thanks.

on mine, there is a symbolic link named lmboot_TMW in /etc. it points
to <Matlab_install_dir>/etc/lmboot. have a look at these directories.

Thanks for your response.
I checked the /etc/lmboot_TMW
it shows
lmboot_TMW -> /usr/local/matlab701/etc/lmboot
lmdown_TMW
-> /usr/local/matlab701/etc/lmdown

So, the symbolic link is correct.
When I typed either
>>/etc/lmboot_TMW
or
>>/usr/local/matlab701/etc/lmboot

license manager runs.
I still can't figure out what to do and
what happens. I really appreciate
your help, anyway.
